A galvanized steel cover sized to sit over a 42″ X 30″ window well: expanded steel mesh in a welded frame, sloped to shed water away from the foundation.
It keeps snow, leaves, gravel and weeds out of the well and stops anyone stepping into it, while still letting daylight through to the basement window.
Polycarbonate option
A clear polycarbonate sheet fixes to the frame and keeps rain and fine debris out as well, without cutting the light.
Egress
This size suits a 30″ projection egress well. Where the well serves a bedroom egress window, the cover must open from inside the well without tools or keys. Confirm the arrangement with your building department.
