48″W X 30″P Galvanized Steel Window Well Cover

A galvanized steel cover sized to sit over a 48″ X 30″ window well: expanded steel mesh in a welded frame, sloped to shed water away from the foundation.

It keeps snow, leaves, gravel and weeds out of the well, and stops anyone stepping into it, while still letting daylight through to the basement window. Covers carry two dimensions only — width and projection — because they sit flat across the top of the well.

Egress

Where the well serves a bedroom egress window, the cover must be openable from inside the well without tools, keys or special knowledge. Confirm the arrangement with your building department.
