92″W X 30″P X 36″H Galvanized Steel Window Well

A 20-gauge G-90 galvanized steel window well: 92″ wide along the foundation wall, projecting 30″ out from it, 36″ from grade down to the base.

A deep well, for windows set well below grade where the backfill comes high up the foundation. The corrugation runs the full height to stiffen the wall against soil pressure, the top edge is folded into a reinforced safety lip, and the 2″ side flanges are pre-punched for the foundation. At 92″ across it is one of the widest wells we roll, sized for a picture window or a double opening in one piece rather than two wells butted together.

Egress

At 30″ of projection this well gives the 760 mm clearance the National Building Code asks for in front of a bedroom egress window. The window itself still has to meet its own opening requirements, and provincial and municipal amendments vary, so confirm the whole arrangement with your building department before you dig.
